Ahmedabad: The Airport authority of India (AAI), in collaboration with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation ( AMC), on Tuesday conducted a mass sensitization drive in areas adjoining the city airport to put a check on flocking of birds at the runway. The drive was carried out in Sardarnagar, Meghaninagar, Asarwa and Kubernagar to minimize bird-hit at the airport.
The waste thrown in the open by the residents near the airport attracts birds which can be a big danger for the aircraft taking off from the city airport.
