100 flyers sit inside plane for 1 hr as airline waits for ladder

Mumbai: Over 100 passengers of an Indigo Airlines flight from Delhi had to remain on board for 65 minutes after it landed in Mumbai on Tuesday morning, as the step ladders could not be connected.
Officials said the air traffic controllers were forced to reassign the Indigo flight a different bay because of the late push back of an earlier Air India flight. The ladders, which were still at the earlier bay, could not reach on time due to congestion on ground.
"The rapid exit taxiway was changed at the last moment. Passengers of flight 6E-179 had to wait till the ladders could reach the aircraft from the earlier bay," an airline official said.
