Chennai: Chennai: Due to the lackadaisical attitude of Air India employees, 13 passengers who had booked tickets for its flight from Chennai to Madurai were denied seats for no reason. The agitated passengers were assured that they would be accommodated in a flight later in the day.
According to airport sources, 80 passengers, all LIC agents from Madurai, were returning from Kolkatta after attending a conclave there last month. On Thursday, at around 12.50 pm, they were about to board the Air India AI 671 flight to Madurai when they were informed that 13 of them could not board the flight as their tickets had not been confirmed.
They were told that they would be sent by another flight on Friday. This resulted in chaos as the group started arguing with the airlines staff saying they travel in a group.
