AAI to survey air traffic possibility at Nashik

Nashik: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has decided to survey air traffic possibility at Ozar - about 20km away Nashik city - to use the space as a parking facility closer to Mumbai and also reap the benefits of lower taxes on Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF).
"In its meeting with the senior state government officials in Mumbai on Monday, the AAI has decided to survey Nashik with respect to using the space as a parking facility for aeroplanes and also consider it for hopping flights from Nashik," Nashik collector Vilas Patil said on Tuesday.
The meeting was held in the office of the additional chief secretary (aviation), P S Meena, where the AAI officials agreed in principle to survey the possibility of traffic between Mumbai and Nashik and through Nashik to other areas.
