Air India leaves pilgrims high and dry!

Srinagar: Over sixty Hajj pilgrims from Srinagar who returned to Kashmir on 31st ultimo by flight No: AI-5486 have been moving pillar to post to get their luggage they had booked at Jeddah International Airport at the time of departure.
The pilgrims said neither the J&K State Hajj Committee, nor Air India local office has been responding to their frantic calls. According to Showkat Hussain Pandit, one of the pilgrims, more than 120 pieces of luggage belonging to the Hajjis have been misplaced. “The Air India authorities had promised us that the luggage would be traced and returned on 1st or 2nd November but that did not happen even after eight days of our arrival,” the complainant said.
