Airlines have better OTP at Mumbai airport compared to Delhi: Data

Mumbai: From being at the bottom of the ladder when it came to airlines on time performance (OTP), Mumbai airport now seems to have more than 90% flights on time. If the data by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is to be believed, most airlines had a good OTP rate at Mumbai airport.
The data shows that about 90% of Air India (AI) flights landed on time at Mumbai. Spice Jet flights also had a similar OTP rate. Airlines like Jet airways and Indigo had an even better on-time percentage with about 98% flights landing and taking-off on time. Mumbai airport, despite its space crunch and only one operational runway, performed better than Delhi airport which boats of a bigger operational area and parallel runways.
