DGCA gives nod to landing of Myanmarese airliner at Tulihal

Imphal: To mark the maiden landing of an international airliner, the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India has approved the Myanmarese private airliner, Golden Myanmar to land at Tulihal Airport here on November 21 after its elevation to an international airport.
More than 100 delegates from Myanmar including the Chief Ministers of Mandalay and Sagaign Regions would be on board the chartered flight of Golden Myanmar to attend the Sangai Festival.
According to a highly placed official source, the approval has been given by the DGCA in view of strengthening the goodwill mission between Myanmar and India.
The flight is scheduled to arrive at Imphal Airport at 10 am on November 21 and depart on the same day.
However, the same airliner would land at Imphal Airport for the second time on November 24 and ferry back the Myanmarese delegates.
