Mumbai: GVK managed Chhaptrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) Mumbai has been awarded 'Best Airport' by Air Cargo Agents Association of India (ACAAI) and Kale Logistics at recently held 40th ACAAI Annual Convention in Jaipur. CSIA received this prestigious award for the second consecutive year. The airport was also bestowed with the '2nd Best Cargo Airport' at the same event. The awards are the testament to the efforts of GVK MIAL in developing world class infrastructure and improving the service levels at the airport facility while also
acknowledging the outstanding performance of CSIA's cargo team.
Being one of the busiest airports in India, GVK CSIA handled traffic of 30.03 million passengersand more than 639,063 tonnesof cargo during the last fiscal year. With the addition of the new integrated Terminal 2 and the cargo complex, GVK CSIA will be capable of handling 40 millionpassengers and 1.50 million Metrictonnes of cargo annually.
