Vasco: Though the civil aviation ministry has said that the new Dabolim airport terminal building would be made operational within 10 days of its inauguration on December 3, the airport advisory committee has expressed doubts over whether this will be possible. On Wednesday afternoon, the committee held an inspection of the new terminal building to check the progress of work.
Francisco Sardinha, chairman of the committee, said, "There will be a soft inauguration on December 3, but the building will be made operational only in the new year."
The civil aviation ministry had ordered its Dabolim airport officials to make the new building operational within 10 days, at least by December 13.
