Odisha woos private airlines in Delhi

Bhubansewar: The state government is going all out to woo private airlines to start international operations at Biju Patnaik Airport that was accorded international status on October 30. Senior government officers, led by chief secretary J K Mohapatra, interacted with officials of various domestic and international airlines at a meeting in Delhi on Tuesday.
"The objective of the meeting was to invite airlines to commence international operations at Biju Patnaik International Airport. We want to start flights to South Asia, South East Asia and Middle East countries," Mohapatra told mediapersons in Delhi.
Senior executives of many airlines, including Fly Dubai, Air Asia, IndiGo, SpiceJet, Go Air and Thai Airways, attended the meeting.
