Chandigarh: The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today announced that a new domestic airport would be established at Adampur to facilitate the Doaba region, especially NRIs. After laying foundation stones of various development works in Jalandhar worth Rs 50 crore, while addressing a rally at Jamsher near Jalandhar City Badal said that Punjab Government has prepared the blueprint for the new domestic airport at Adampur and he is in constant touch with the Union Ministry for Civil Aviation for all kinds of necessary approvals.
