Kolkata: Flight operations from Kolkata airport were affected for two and a half hours on Friday following a snag in the computer system in the passenger terminal.According the airport sources, the local area network that connects various airline systems crashed around 7.30am, when flight movements are at their peak.
Over the next couple of hours, airline staff had a tough time processing passenger information. Around 20 flights were delayed by 5-10 minutes as all operations - issuing of tickets, boarding passes and baggage tags - had to be done manually.
