Kochi: Some 120 workers of 60 tankers supplying aviation turbine fuel (ATF) of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) from the KRL facility at Ambalamugal to Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram airports, went on a token strike on Monday demanding wage revision and improvement in service conditions.
The drivers and cleaners of the tankers said that they had given notice to the IOC management and the tanker lorry owners to revise the salary six months ago. Talks were held several times, but no decision has been arrived at so far.
