Pune: After a wait of nearly one and a half years, Squadron Leader Manvendra Singh Kabawat, who had lodged a complaint against Air India Limited for losing his luggage, will be getting relief.
Pune District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum president VP Utpat and member Geeta Ghatge have directed the station managers of Air India Limited of Pune Airport and New Delhi, Palam to pay jointly Rs4,500 for loss of baggage to the squadron leader serving in airforce.
The forum has directed them to pay a compensation of Rs30,000 and Rs5,000 as suit charges.
Kabawat and his wife Pramod Kunwar are complainants and reside at OMQ 326A, Air Force Station, Lohegaon. The couple had moved a plaint before the forum on July 17, 2012 against station manager Air India Limited, Lohegaon, Pune Airport and station manager of Air India Limited, IGI Airport, Delhi Palam.
