Bhubaneswar: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) will expedite the process of developing the proposed integrated airport near Khurda on the city outskirts. A four-member team of AAI will visit the site for pre-feasibility study.
"The team will assess if the site, where the state government has identified 2,000 acres of land, is suitable for an obstruction-free runway, setting up of air traffic control (ATC) tower and developing other infrastructure," said Biju Patnaik airport director Sharad Kumar.
He said the state government officials from various departments are also likely to be present with the team.
