Ranchi: Narendra Modi will reach the rally venue in Dhurwa from Ranchi airport in a chopper, according to sources in the state BJP unit.
"We had to opt for chopper to avoid hardships for those coming to the rally ground because blockade of traffic movement for one hour will traffic across the city," said BJP state president Ravindra Rai.
The state BJP unit has sent a request for chopper to the state government for flying Modi, the party's prime ministerial candidate, from Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi to Sri Jagannath Maidan, the rally venue in Dhurwa (2km aerial distance from the Ranchi airport.
The Jharkhand State Cricket Association has offered to provide landing area at the stadium. A mock drill was conducted at the stadium on Friday.
