Margao: Assuring the people of south Goa that there was no question of Dabolim airport shutting down, BJP south Goa Lok Sabha ticket aspirant Narendra Sawaikar accused politicians of trying to misguide the public on the airport issue.
Sawaikar, who was responding to queries on his stance on the dual airport issue, pointed out that after its soft launch recently the airport had been upgraded and is capable of handling any number of passengers.
He stressed that there was no need for South Goa to worry, especially the tourism industry like hotels and taxis, and added that the BJP state government was all for Dabolim and that Dabolim would remain.
