Jaipur: Travelling by air has now become very expensive. The airlines have hiked the airfares in view of New Year rush. The fares will remain high till New Year celebrations get over. Interestingly, the fares for Mumbai-bound flights have increased the most.
Maximum flights operating from Jaipur are Mumbai-bound. There is no direct flight between Jaipur and Goa. So the fare for connecting flights has gone up almost three times, as the rush for Goa is higher nowadays from Jaipur.
Fare from Jaipur to most of the cities will be much higher ahead of New Year. Anil Warman, station manager, Air India, Jaipur, said, “The fares of our flights to various destinations are decided by authorities in Delhi and Mumbai offices. The price of ticket depends on the availability of seats and passenger rush.”
