Gangtok: Secretary Land Revenue cum Relief Commissioner K S Tobgay along with Secretary Tourism and Civil Aviation C Zangpo and the District Collector J Raje visited the Pakyong Greenfield Airport today to take stock of the progress of the project and to also assess the damages to land and building around the project site. The Airport Authority of India was represented by S P Yadav General Manager.
During the visit the Secretary Tourism iterated the need to complete the project by December 2014 as scheduled. Secretary Land Revenue interacted with the people whose houses were damaged and gave assurance to provide adequate compensation.
