Lucknow: For construction of metro project in Lucknow, a four acre land around Airport area has been decided to be taken on lease basis. The Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation has already started formalities to take the land near Airport. They have prepared the proposal for taking its possession. In the upcoming board meeting of LMRC on January 16, the proposal would be presented before chief secretary of Uttar Pradesh for approval.
After the proposal is passed in the meeting, it would then be sent to the Airport Authority. A huge land of Airport in Amausi area is lying vacant on Kanpur Road. The land is not being used by the airport. This area is outside the funnel zone of airport. LMRC is in need of huge area of land to start the construction of metro project in Lucknow.
