Chennai: New Year dawned with another glass panel at the city airport developing a crack.
While officials continue to explain this away with reasons, such as excessive heat, this is the 12th incident of glass cracking and demonstrates the poor workmanship in the construction of the new terminals at Chennai airport.
A city airport official said a 6x6 ft glass frame in the mezzanine level of the new domestic terminal developed a crack at around 2.30 pm on Wednesday.
