Any high rise near Jakkur needs to take one more permission now

Bangalore: After Airport Authority of India, Indian Air Force, Kempe Gowda International Airport and HAL, the Government Flying Training School (GFTS) in Jakkur has come out with a dictum to builders not to construct buildings within a 20 km radius of Jakkur Aerodrome without its permission.
The institution, run by the state government, warned of action against errant builders if they violate rules under Section 9(a) of Aircraft Act 1934. A public notice issued by the institution states that all builders who have already got NOC from any agency for a height of 40 meters or above, for any site within 5 km of Jakkur Aerodrome, are also required to apply and get an NOC from them.
Director of the flying school Naveen Raj Singh said, "A public notice has been issued by the institution after it was found that some of the high-rise buildings were obstructing the operations when students fly choppers. A letter has been written to BDA and BBMP about the provisions of the Act and they have been asked not to sanction permission to high-rise buildings, if they are against the rules stipulated in the Act."
