Chandigarh: City is all set to connect with the hot tourist destination of Kullu Manali, as a private airline has offered to start Kullu-Chandigarh flight. The proposal of the private player has been sent for the approval to the Director General Civil Aviation (DGCA). If gets the mandatory approval, the flight is expected to start its operation from summer schedule of flights starting from April this year.
Bhunter airport in Kullu is the nearest airport connecting the tourist destination of Kullu and Manali from the rest of the country through air routes.
"The proposed flight would a daily return flight and the fare is exacted to be near Rs 8000," sources confirmed. The proposal, if materialize, would not only a big boost for the tourism but the people from Chandigarh would also be able to reach favorite tourist destination in a short period.
