Ahmedabad: One flight was cancelled and three were diverted to Sardar Vallabhbhai International Airport on Monday due to dense fog. Early morning Jet airways flight from Ahmedabad to Delhi was cancelled while two SpiceJet flights from Mumbai to Jaipur (SG4055) and Delhi (SG116) were diverted to city airport. An Air India flight AI440 from Chennai to Delhi was also forced to land at Ahmedabad.
The diverted flights took off by late afternoon after weather cleared in Delhi. More than 400 passengers were affected at city airport due to delays and diversions. As many as 36 flights from Delhi were affected and flights coming to Ahmedabad from Delhi were delayed by 4-5 hours.
