Drukair to launch flights on Paro-Mumbai route on May 1

Mumbai: Drukair, the flag carrier of the Kingdom of Bhutan, is set to launch flights from Paro to Mumbai on May 1, 2014. An official announcement in this regard will be made at the Tourism Council of Bhutan’s (TCB) roadshow to be held at Vivanta by Taj President in Mumbai on February 5. TCB and Drukair, Taj Tashi Bhutan along with few other local tour operators will conduct roadshows in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata next week to promote Bhutan as an up-market destination and also network with travel trade members.
Mumbai will be the sixth destination on Drukair’s network in India. The three-hour flight between Paro International Airport and Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport will operate twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays. Flight number KB206 will depart from Paro at 0730hrs to reach Mumbai at 1010hrs while flight number KB207 will leave Mumbai at 1110hrs to reach Paro at 1440hrs. The aircraft will offer 16 seats in business class and 102 seats in economy class.
