A round of applause brings stars to ground

Kochi: Celebrity Cricket League team Kerala Strikers' members were deplaned at the airport here after they allegedly misbehaved with the crew of a Hyderabad-bound IndiGo flight.
The flight, scheduled to take off at 1 pm, left Nedumbassery one-and-a-half hours late.
The deplaned members included Bhavana, Mythili, Manikkuttan, Riyas Khan, Prachod Kalabhavan and Idavela Babu.
The aircraft had taxied on to the runway when the incident happened. The captain brought the plane back to the apron, and ordered them to disembark.
"Initially the passengers resisted, but had to deplane on other passengers' request," IndiGo said in an e-mailed response.
Irin Michael, a passenger onboard the flight, said the team continued to whistle and clap despite the airhostess asking them to behave. Another passenger, M Ramesh blamed the CCL team for delaying the flight. The team of about 30 members denied any wrongdoing.
