Thiruvananthapuram: The government is alleged to be delaying action against the officials, which was recommended by the Land Revenue Commissioner, responsible for facilitating illegal reclamation of paddyfields and wetlands in Aranmula for the proposed airport.
An official meeting held last week with respect to the issue is learnt to have not arrived at any decision.
The government, which is supportive of the proposed airport, is alleged to be purposefully delaying the whole process as it will find it difficult to justify any action taken against the officials who were responsible for the reclamation.
If action is taken against the officials, the government fears that the allegations of illegal reclamation will be proved true.
