Aranmula: 'Govt Open to Talks'

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy reiterated his stand that the UDF Government had only followed the previous LDF Government’s policy on Aranmula airport project. He said the State Government was open to discussions with those opposing the project.
“As a democratic elected government, we are open to discussions with anyone. But the effort for talks should come from those opposing the project,” he said. Chandy said that the UDF Government had gone ahead with the Aranmula project which was listed as one among the achievements of the previous LDF Government. “We only went ahead with what the LDF Government started. The UDF Government had only done denotification of land not otherwise,” he said.
