Hyderabad: The welcome being accorded to T leaders by thousands of followers thronging the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport has become a major inconvenience for other passengers, many of whom are taking the Outer Ring Road to avoid getting caught in traffic snarls.
"The approach roads are blocked. The congestion is worst at rotaries. The movement of traffic on the highway roads leading to the airport is slow," complained Vinay Kumar, who had gone to receive relatives at the airport on Sunday.
Sources at the airport said many people are reaching the boarding gates at the last minute as they are barely able to check in on time due to the chaos caused by hordes of Telangana supporters holding placards and banners to welcome their leaders.
