Kuala Lumpur: A suspicious package found in the toilet of an Indian budget carrier forced its pilot to make an emergency landing at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, early yesterday.
The IndiGo Airlines flight which took off from Singapore en-route to Chennai, India landed at KLIA at 7.30am.
Aviation industry officials said the pilot of the plane with 145 passengers and six crew members, took precautionary measure to land at KLIA after a flight attendant alerted him of the package containing three gold-coloured metal bars.
