Vijayawada: The land acquisition for the expansion of the Gannavaram Airport, which has been pending for long, has entered a crucial phase with the revenue authorities conducting the 5-A Enquiry under the Draft Declaration of the Land Acquisition Act.
Nuzvid RDO and the Land Acquisition Officer (LAO) K.V.N. Chakradhar Babu, told The Hindu that the crucial 5-A Enquiry in which interested persons could file objections was conducted on Sunday and Monday.
The interested persons were entitled to file objections before the LAO suo motu within 30 days from the date of publication of the Draft Declaration (DD).
The objections filed during the enquiry shall be examined after specific remarks of the Requisitioning Authority (in this case the head of the Revenue Department, the District Collector).
