Mumbai: Take elevated road to Terminal 2

Mumbai: If your international flight is scheduled to depart after 1pm from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (MIAL) on Wednesday, be careful which road you take to the airport.
The old terminal will shut operations and will shift to the new Terminal 2, which will be opened to the public on Wednesday.
T2 was inaugurated by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh last month but will throw open its doors to public on Wednesday after the inauguration of the Sahar Elevated Road.
Likewise, all international flights arriving after 12 noon will be shifted to T2.
National carrier Air India’s flight AI343, with its scheduled departure at 1pm, will be the first to fly out of the new terminal. A Jet Airways flight 9W118 from Heathrow in London will the first aircraft to land at 1.20pm, for which the check-in counters will open at 9.20am. Domestic terminal flights and transfers will be unaffected by this transition.
“We are taking last-minute operational readiness activation test so as to provide seamless and delightful experience to passengers after T2 opens,” said a Mumbai International Airport Limited official.
