Kollam/Thiruvananthapuram: The government cannot go ahead by neglecting popular sentiments and agitations - KPCC president V M Sudheeran's message to the government was clear.
"There are a number of popular agitations going on in the state, including the one against Aranmula airport. The government should immediately hold discussions with those involved in the agitations and find an amicable situation," he told the first-ever party-government coordination committee meeting held under his leadership in Kollam on Monday.
It was tough talk from Sudheeran at the meeting, in which chief minister Oommen Chandy gave a patient hearing. It was also decided that a similar meeting will be convened to discuss the Aranmula airport controversy.
