Two more Indigo flights boost Bhubaneswar airport operations

Bhubaneswar: Biju Patnaik Airport will get two more flights for domestic routes, raising the total number of flights for domestic operations to 18, official sources have said.
According to airport sources, Indigo airlines has sought permission to run another two flights to Delhi and Bangalore via Visakhapatnam. The two flights will start operations from the first week of March. "The destinations have been confirmed, but we are yet to fix the flight schedule. Indigo's commissioning of two flights will boost domestic operations from the city," said airport director Sharad Kumar.
After Jet Airways withdrew three flights, the traffic at the city airport came down from 19 to 16 flights. The flier stopped its Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata-bound flights.
