Jet hikes excess baggage rate to Rs 300 a kilogram

Mumbai: Jet Airways and JetKonnect have revised their excess baggage flat rate to Rs 300 per kilogram, inclusive of service tax, on domestic India routes for baggage over and above the Free Baggage Allowance.
The fee came into effect on March 21 and will be levied at the check-in counters. With this above revision under the weight system, the excess baggage rate will be increased by $ 5 for international journeys connecting to/from a Jet Airways or Jet Konnect domestic sector. The fee is applicable only on domestic India routes operated by 9W and S2. It is applicable for all points of sale. JetPrivilege members and co-branded card holders will continue to enjoy the additional FBA as per the eligibility.
