A Malaysian woman says she saw the missing Malaysia Airlines plane sinking into the Andaman Sea from the window of her return flight from Mecca.
Raja Dalelah Raja Latife, 53, filed a police report on March 8 regarding the sighting — the same day the plane disappeared.
“It looked like an aeroplane,” the mother of 10 told Malaysia’s Star Online.
“I took a closer look and was shocked to see what looked like the tail and wing of an aircraft on the water.”
She insisted she wouldn’t lie because she’d just returned from the holy land in Saudi Arabia.
But a pilot told the Malaysian outlet her claim was far-fetched. Flights in the vicinity of the Andaman islands are roughly seven miles above sea level.
Latife is the latest in a long line of people who claim to have seen the Boeing 777 carrying 239 passengers.
