Imphal: A man who was trying to smuggle gold by attaching a gold biscuit on the sole using tapes was apprehended by CISF personnel at Tulihal Airport today.
The apprehended man has been identified as one Raseeth Aaron and the gold biscuit seized from him is said to be worth Rs 27 lakhs.
He was heading for Chennai via Kolkata.
During security checking at Imphal airport today, six gold biscuits were found attached to his soles.
