Gold worth Rs 16L seized at airport

Nagpur: Customs officials have seized gold worth Rs 16 lakh from a passenger at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport. The passenger, Ashraph Alli Mohammed Memon, was travelling by Air Arabia Flight G90415 from Sharjah to Nagpur.
Memon holds an Indian passport (Z 2900690). On arrival at Nagpur airport on Sunday morning, customs officials intercepted him on suspicion. He was found to be carrying white coated gold wire and chain, together weighing about 625.31 grams.
