Mumbai: To enhance its on-time performance across its domestic network, the Jet Airways Group Friday said it will close all domestic check-in counters 45 minutes prior to departure across all the non-metro airports with immediate effect.
The above move is an extension of the check-in policy currently observed by the Jet Airways and JetKonnect across the metro airports, and will enhance on-time performance across the airline's domestic network, the airline said in a statement.
Guests using web or kiosk check-in but with checked in baggage, will have to complete all baggage-related formalities prior to counter closure, it added.
Earlier the check-in time was one hour. Announcing the decision, its senior vice-president- commercial, Gaurang Shetty, said maintaining a uniform counter closure across the network will enhance the airline's on-time performance and consistency across all domestic flights.
