Srinagar: Ahead of the start of tourist season, passengers Tuesday had a tough time at Srinagar International Airport due to power failure which threw them to inconvenience.
The passengers alleged that they had to wait for hours even to get boarding passes as the computer and other systems were off for electricity.
Riyaz Ahmad, a passenger who was scheduled to fly in Go Air flight G9818 at 1:55 PM said: "I have been waiting in queue to get boarding pass for last two hours though it’s a mere two minute job… It is worst experience of my life at any airport.”
Many passengers said in the absence of electricity things went so chaotic that the airport resembled “KMD bus stand.”
