New Delhi: The Delhi airport will soon be equipped with a state-of-the-art CCTV monitoring facility, referred to as Integrated Security Solution by officials. This will automate the monitoring of CCTV footage and CISF personnel won't have to be deputed for the job.
A software update and few hardware changes will make surveillance automatic and convenient, making CISF personnel available for other security arrangements. The overarching idea is to marry manpower with technology, say officials. The technology upgrade will allow CCTV systems to identify suspicious objects and persons and immediately sound an alarm. The software installed in the system will be fed with a databank of known criminals and potential threats to security.
