‘Srinagar Int’l Airport sans basic facilities’

Srinagar: Srinagar International Airport lacks some of the basic facilities including clean washrooms, canteens and passengers’ waiting area, flyers complained Thursday.
They alleged that on the pretext of security checking the passengers were being made to wait for hours.
News gathering agency CNS quoted a delegation of passengers as saying that the airport lacks basic facilities “and there are no toilets for the physically handicapped persons.”
“It was a hectic day for me at Srinagar Airport. For security and other reasons, the airport staff made me to wait for hours together,” Rouf Ahmed, a passenger said.
The passengers said that most of the toilets were unclean. “At every airport all over the globe there are separate toilets for handicapped persons but it is not so at Srinagar Airport,” a passenger said.
