4 Passengers Detained on Suspicion of Concealing Gold in their Stomach

Nedumbassery: Four passengers who arrived in Kochi from Kuala Lumpur on the newly-introduced airliner Malindo Air on Wednesday have been detained as they were found to be carrying gold in their stomach.
The gold concealed inside their stomach was detected by the Air Intelligence Unit of the Customs Department when they passed through the metal detector. All four were immediately intercepted and taken into custody for examination. But the officials said that the passengers have not yet admitted to carrying gold inside them.  On interrogation, one passenger accidentally vomited a one-sovereign coin.  The officials reportedly admitted all four to a private hospital at Angamaly. Sources said that one passenger was from Sivaganga in Tamil Nadu and the other three were from Ramanathapuram.
