No premium charge for flying luxurious A380: Singapore Airlines

Mumbai: For those excited to travel the A380 jumbo jet from India aboard Singapore Airlines, here's more good news: the airline won't charge any premium for giving its most luxurious product, at least on the economy and business class. Passengers will also get an upgraded menu on board the biggest passenger aircraft in the world.
"We launched a flight midway and you are essentially giving the market a two months notice. I feel that we should not be in a position whereby we capitalize on that. It's great that the A380 is coming but we shouldn't disappoint our customers" David Lau, general manager Singapore Airlines, India told ET in an interview.
In other markets, "premiums are usually charged for superior cabin class products or seasonal peaks," he added.
