Notice to Airmen at Nagpur airport to be lifted on May 15 midnight

Nagpur:  The notice to airmen (NOTAM) at Nagpur airport, issued for the runway recarpeting work which began in December last year, will be lifted on May 15 midnight. This means that the restrictions on the usage of the runway in force till now will be over.
Though the recarpeting will be over by May 15, some minor works like levelling the sides of the runway will be carried out after this. Though a NOTAM might be issued for lesser hours then, it will not affect scheduled flights.
Following this, IndiGo will restart its flight between Nagpur and Pune from May 16. Flight 6E 134 Pune-Nagpur will depart from Pune at 11:05am to reach Nagpur at 12:20pm everyday except Saturday. Similarly, flight 6E 135 will take off from Nagpur at 12.25pm and reach Pune at 1:45pm everyday except Saturday. From May 16, the morning flight to Mumbai will be at 9am instead of 8.45am. However, the afternoon Nagpur-Mumbai flight still stands cancelled.
