Panaji: While Goa, not only received the highest number of charters flights including the highest number of charters from Russia this season; the travel and tourism industry is very worried about the future.
A total of 1,124 charters landed in Goa as per the last count at the end of the season. Of these, 891 charters came from Russia between October to May, with a surge of 15% this season. While there was a phenomenal jump in the arrival of charters from Russia, the numbers from conventional destinations was not very encouraging.
