Kolkata: Flurys, the city's heritage confectionary brand, made its maiden entry into travel hubs with an outlet at Kolkata airport. Though the counter became functional only at 1pm on Monday, passengers streamed in since the signage was installed early morning, keen to pick up goodies before taking off in their respective flights.
Maneeta Sahaney, who works in an embassy in Delhi, was lucky to walk in when the store had opened and purchased several packs of chocolates. "I had some time at hand and was walking about the terminal when I was pleasantly surprised to spot the Flurys store. It's a name that I am familiar with since childhood. While visiting Kolkata, I would be taken to the store in Park Street and loved it. Unfortunately, when I visit the city on work, there isn't enough time to drop by at the store. Having a Flurys at the airport makes it so convenient," she pointed out.
