Storm diverts Delhi-bound flights

Lucknow: Inclement weather conditions in Delhi resulted in diversion of as many as half a dozen flights to Lucknow airport on Thursday evening.

The flights of Jet airways, Indigo and Go air on their way to Delhi had to make priority landing at the Amausi airport, informed S C Hota, airport director. According to reports, a couple of flights to Delhi from Lucknow had to return after they could not get clearance at Delhi airport.

The diversion started at around 3 pm when rain and thundershowers lashed Delhi. A Delhi bound Indigo flight from Lucknow made an emergency landing in Amausi following shortage of fuel.
