Mumbai: The customs department at Mumbai international airport on Monday seized gold bars worth in three different cases of smuggling, which are valued at Rs 1 crore. Three people, including a native of Kasargod in Kerala were arrested in connection with the case.
According to the custom officers, Mohammad Anwar, a native of Kasargod, arrived by Emirates flight EK 500 from Dubai. He had concealed 24 gold bars in a handbag valued at Rs 72 lakh before he was caught.
