Ghanaian conman held by Airport cops in Juhu

Pune: In a major breakthrough, sleuths of the Airport Police Station, Pune, detained an Ghanaian in Juhu on Sunday night and claimed to have seized hundreds of fake stamps of various authorities, several certificates of United Kingdom's Financial Conduct Authority, Home Affairs, High Court of Justice, and United Nations, from his possession.

Cops identified the suspect as the 32-yearold Edward Kofi MC Ben of Ghana. Officials said that he could be linked to a Nigerian scam —a form of upfront payment or money transfer scam. Acting on a tip-off, a team led by Police Sub Inspector Subhash Chavan from the Detection branch of the Airport PS nabbed the suspect from a flat in Juhu.
